Multicap’s Monte Lupo Cafes and coffee carts are now serving Merlo Coffee’s espresso beans as their coffee of choice.
WHY MERLO?
The staff made the move to Merlo as they realised the importance of strong brand recognition with Brisbane coffee drinkers and the smooth flavour that everyone enjoys.
The partnership was formed due to Merlo’s strong focus on creating a social impact through supporting local organisations, such as Multicap’s hospitality businesses.
Multicap’s supported employees have completed training at Merlo’s training centre in Fortitude Valley to gain some additional barista skills, such as improving their milk heating and pouring skills.
Supported employee Mitch Blasdall, who prefers a large half-strength mocha on oat milk, said he learned how to texture milk more confidently at the training session. “I like the constant learning and making people happy through coffee.”
Monte Lupo Café at Eight Mile Plains recently achieved an award for the best coffeehouse, based on Restaurant Guru customer reviews, thanks to a delightful team delivering a consistent quality of service.
Monte Lupo Cafés remove the barriers to employment for people with disability, and employees learn new skills and gain hands-on experience in the hospitality industry.
Monte Lupo Café and Coffee Carts offer quality coffee, homemade light meals, and catering services to Multicap employees and the greater Brisbane community.
