On Friday 10 May 2024, Merlo Coffee Toowoomba staff dressed in blue to help spread the word about putting an end to bullying by joining ‘Do It For Dolly Day’.
Proceeds from all coffees sold in Merlo’s Toowoomba cafes were donated to Dolly’s Dream to help grow much-needed bullying prevention and online safety programs that are provided to children, their families, and communities across Australia.
Merlo is proud to announce we have donated $1,000 from our coffee sales to this amazing cause, which we hope will help nurture the inspiring work of Dolly’s Dream.
Do it for Dolly Day supports the great work of the Everett family who started Dolly’s Dream after losing their much-loved 14-year-old daughter Dolly to bullying. Dolly’s Dream hopes to increase the understanding of the effect of bullying and provide support to parents of children who experience it and their families.
Dolly’s Dream was set up to change the culture of bullying through education and offering the following:
A Support Line
Beacon Cyber Safety app
School Workshops
Mental Health First Aid Training
Parent Hub
Youth Drop In Centre
Merlo is proud to join a community of people who come together to spread kindness and join others in breaking the silence around bullying.
