This microlot is from the estate of producer Juan Urrutia located in the Erandique district of the Lempira region in Honduras. Juan is a second generation coffee farmer and graduated with a degree in Agronomy in 2008. His experience and expertise have combined to craft an exceptionally clean coffee with silky mouthfeel and vibrant sweetness. This crop is harvested from six acres of Caturra trees and classed as SHG – Strictly High Grown – at an altitude of 1600 metres above sea level. Coffee grown at higher altitudes develops more slowly, resulting in a greater density.
